Our Story

Cafe Musette is the heart and soul of Kyle and Sarah—a place built on a genuine love of food, people, and bringing others together.

Our passion for hospitality really started at home. Most nights, you’ll find us cooking for family, filling the house with laughter, good food, and plenty of noise. We joke that we invite everyone over to escape the chaos of our beautiful kids—but we promise, that’s not the case (most of the time).

Between us, we bring years of experience in the hospitality industry. Kyle spent eight years working as a chef in the Rutherglen wine region, along with time in some fantastic local restaurants around Albury. Sarah has built her career front of house—serving great coffee and drinks, sharing a laugh, and creating genuine connections with every customer who walks through the door.

At Cafe Musette, our focus is simple: we want everyone who visits to feel like they’re part of the family. A place where you can relax, unwind, and forget about the outside world for a little while—something we all need from time to time.

Our food philosophy is just as straightforward. We serve food that we’d happily come back for again and again—the kind of dishes worth making a special trip for. If it tastes great and looks good, we know we’re on the right track.

With three beautiful children and a fourth on the way, we’re often told we’re a little crazy for starting a hospitality business—but maybe we are. Then again, life would be pretty boring if we weren’t.

We’re excited to give this a red-hot go, meet some amazing locals, and hopefully become a small but meaningful part of the community.
